We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act to the extent that they apply.
1. What is our Commitment to your Privacy?

The following terms have the following meanings: –
Cookies means a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer/phone for record keeping purposes.
Information means either Personal Information or Non-personal Information.
Non-personal Information means any information that does not reveal your specific identity or does not directly relate to an individual.

Where reasonably practicable, we attempt to collect Information directly from individuals or companies.
If SRNSW holds Personal Information that was collected for a Primary Purpose, then SRNSW must not disclose the Personal Information for a Secondary Purpose unless users have consented to the use of the Personal Information or the users would reasonably expect that SRNSW would use the Information for the Secondary Purpose which is directly related to the Primary Purpose.

For your protection, we may only implement requests with respect to the Personal Information associated with the particular email address that you used to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request. We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.
We may need to retain certain information for recordkeeping purposes and/or to complete any transactions that you began prior to requesting a change or deletion. There may also be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records, which will not be removed.
If you are under 18 years of age, you may also be entitled to ask us to remove content or Information that we hold about you by contacting SRNSW. Please note that your request does not ensure complete or comprehensive removal of the content or Information.
9. What happens to Non-personal Information?
SRNSW may collect Non-personal Information on the Website including but not limited to, which sections of the Website are most frequently visited, how often the Website and Website sections are visited, and for how long the Website is visited. This data is always used as aggregated, Non-personal Information and may be shared with SRNSW agents and employees to provide them with information relating to how SRNSW visitors access and use the Website. This is done for the purpose of providing you with the best and most efficient services.
10. How can you Update the Personal Information?
We take reasonable steps in the circumstances to ensure that the Personal Information that we collect, use and disclose is accurate, up to date and complete. 12. How can you Complain about Privacy and the SRNSW Website?
Any complaints received by us will be referred for prompt investigation by our team and a written response will be provided to you as soon as possible.
If you are not satisfied by our response, you may acquire further information regarding privacy from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or the Information and Privacy Commission of NSW.
13. Transfer to other countries
For the purpose of this Clause 13, Personal Data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person in accordance with Article 4(1) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
We may disclose Personal Data outside of Australia to third party suppliers, contractors or cloud providers located in various countries.
When you provide your Personal Data to us, you consent to the disclosure of your information outside of Australia and acknowledge that we are not required to ensure that overseas recipients handle that Personal Data in compliance with Australian Privacy Law. We will, however, take reasonable steps to ensure that any overseas recipient will deal with such Personal Information in a way that is consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Personal Data collected within the European Union may, for example, be transferred to and processed by third parties located in a country outside of the European Union. In such instances, SRNSW shall ensure that the transfer of your Personal Data is carried out in accordance with applicable privacy laws and, in particular, that appropriate contractual, technical and organizational measures are in place such as the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the EU Commission.
Should you wish to:
- receive the Personal Data collected within the European Union;
- have your Personal Data erased from the database of transferrable data to the European Union; or
- object to your Personal Data being transferred to the European Union,

We may hold your Personal Information in either electronic or hard copy form. We take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information from misuse, interference and loss, as well as unauthorised access, modification or disclosure and we use a number of physical, administrative, personnel and technical measures to protect your Personal Information. However, we cannot guarantee the security of your Personal Information.
16. Inadvertent disclosure
If we inadvertently disclose your Personal Information and the (suspected or known) disclosure is reasonably likely to result in serious harm to any of the individuals involved, we will follow the procedure set out in Annexure 1 below.
